While most of our time is devoted to homes, the Interior Perfection team welcomes every opportunity to design commercial spaces and venues. Explore a few of our restaurant design projects for local businesses in the hospitality industry where we’ve designed comfortable spaces for dining and conversation, or breathtaking venues for once-in-a-lifetime events.
It began with a simple challenge: create a dining experience without peer for this pub and eatery in Cedar Rapids. The Interior Perfection team designed a factory industrial modern approach with several dining areas plus a grand bar space featuring custom lighting. Old Chicago brick provides the backdrop for the wall elevations while vintage wood floor paired with reclaimed barn punctuate the foyer reception desk. The name EDISON was given by Interior Perfection designers which lead to the use of vintage Edison lights throughout.
The Bottleworks Loft Condominiums feature a common space to sit and relax in conversational groupings. Kennon wanted to add a dramatic wall of water to document the core of this space. He designed four 12-foot glass water falls to provide a natural backdrop of tranquil sound that bounces through the open beam work architecture. Custom-designed lighting was created to shed a soft glow. Whether working from home or meeting friends, the perfect decor greets all upon entrance to this trendy, loft home buildout.
Since Interior Perfection designed Zeppelins, a modern grill serving New American fare in Cedar Rapids, the establishment has become one of the area’s favorite gathering spots for drinks and dinner with friends. Custom lights were created to highlight the oversized back-lit onyx bar. The atmosphere is fun and colorful. Ceilings are draped with back-lit fabric to create a soft glow. Airplane memorabilia is displayed throughout.
Our team envisioned this rustic barn wedding venue in Cedar Rapids could be a venue like no other. An organic white-on-white background plays with the high contrast of black windows to create a flexible space for celebration. The wood tones and neutral furnishings allow any planned event color theme to shine perfectly. The large, 48”×78” light fixtures were custom designed by Kennon to bring a dramatic lighting effect and a timeless presence.
